Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has not ruled out discussing the England job with the FA as he continues to weigh up his future.

Guardiola's future remains up in the air after he admitted during a recent TV appearance that he's yet to make a decision on his plans. The 53-year-old's contract with Manchester City runs until the summer and while the Premier League champions are keen for him to stay on, a number of interested parties have already began to enquire about his availability. That includes the English FA, who contacted Guardiola at the start of the season.

According to the Telegraph, Guardiola has not ruled out talking to the FA about the role. He has admitted in the past that he would like to manage at the World Cup, and reportedly likes England and its current squad. England are one of three national teams that have approached the Catalan, however, as the battle to convince him to leave City hots up.

Guardiola has plenty of options on the table, and he may even decide to take another sabbatical like he did when he left Barcelona in 2012. But sources claim that the most likely outcome is that he will sign a new one-year deal to remain at City for a 10th year. He has guided the club to six Premier League titles and the opportunity to bring even more silverware to Etihad Stadium may be too difficult to refuse.
