Kane broke a host of records in a stunning debut season in Germany but his infamous trophy curse continued as Bayern's 11-year reign as Bundesliga champions came to an end and they were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in a dramatic semi-final tie.

Kane was desperate to join Manchester City in 2021 although the move never materialised due to Tottenham's high asking price. Manchester United also showed strong interest in signing Kane in the summer of 2023, but he proved to be out of their budget.
