As the 2024-25 season reaches the business end, Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie has backed Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side to sign Leicester legend Vardy. The former England international striker is in the final few months of his current deal, and with the Foxes set to go down once again from the Premier League, questions have been raised over his future.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID
Speaking to , Hendrie said: "Jamie Vardy, obviously the links and the Wrexham chief, Humphrey Ker, that he would certainly consider taking Vardy next season, which is crazy to think of, but he is still capable, I think, of causing so many problems. It looks like Wrexham are going to stand a really good chance of getting into the Championship.
"He knows that league. He's still got that pace and cleverness and something different that they could certainly use. Obviously his age is one thing (to consider), but for one season, I don't think it would be a bad signing whatsoever. So that'd be a good thing if that was true, and it'd be welcomed."
